Friday April 28th – Sunday April 30th (F at DYNL, Sat/Sun at DY Rittenhouse)

  • Friday, April 28th 5:30-7:30pm at DY Northern Liberties

Twist & Cleanse Master Class with Pranayama ($30, limit 15 students)

  • Saturday, April 29th 12:30-5pm at DY Rittenhouse

SATURDAY AFTERNOON 12:30-2:30pm : Unlocking the Psoas Workshop ($35 by 4/14, $45 after)

The psoas muscle is the deepest muscle in our bodies. It’s sometimes referred to as the muscle of our soul. This core-stabilizing muscle that runs from our trunk to the hipbone affects mobility, structural balance, joint function, flexibility, and much more. In addition to its function to help keep the body upright and moving, it affects two of our most vital systems: digestion and breath. In this workshop, you will learn where your psoas is and how to unlock this deep muscle creating numerous benefits throughout your body. There will be a brief anatomy discussion learning the psychological benefits of releasing this muscle before a deep two- hour vinyasa flow practice opening the abdomen region and releasing the lower back and hips leading to splits and asymmetrical back bends. Open to all levels.

and 3-5pm : The Art of Sequencing, Injury Management, and Hands on Adjustments ($25 by 4/14, $35 after) // stay all day for $50 by 4/14, $70 after)

Great for teachers and dedicated practitioners who would like to learn more about how the bodies work and how to sequences postures together in an anatomical way to create deep healing in the body, mind, and spirit.  Hands on Adjustments will be included to teach safe alignment in the poses especially when dealing with injury.

  • Sunday, April 30th 12-5:30pm at DY Rittenhouse

SUNDAY AFTERNOON 12:30-3:30pm : Overcoming Fear in Back Bends & Inversions ($35 by 4/14, $45 after)

This workshop will include a brief vinyasa flow practice and inversions at the wall to teach the wheels needed for safe backbends.  I have found through many years of teaching, backbends and inversions can create a sense of fear and anxiety, especially when going upside down and dropping back. Both postures can be very theraputic and have many benefits when taught slowly educating what are known as the “wheels”  creating deep core stability in the lower back helping to access the upper back and unlock the heart space.  Find the joy in these liberating postures and practice safe at the same time!  A year of practice is encouraged and a desire to go deeper in your practice.

and 3:30-5:30pm : Advanced Asana and Philosophy Discussion, with Pranayama and Restorative Practices, and a talk on finding your authenticity and purpose… ($25 by 4/14, $35 after) // stay all day for $50 by 4/14, $70 after)

fee: Master Class (limited 15 students) $30; Workshops priced out above — you can tender payment in person, by calling 215-222-9642 (YOGA) or creating an account in our software at

Saturday and Sunday, May 20th & 21st 12:30-5pm each day at DY Rittenhouse

  • Saturday 12:30-5pm: Yoga and Ayurveda: Practices for Healing and Strengthening the Bones, Joints, and Nerves ($45 by 5/6, $55 after*)

What are the keys to sustaining a lifelong yoga practice? How do we maintain a dynamic practice without creating “wear and tear” injuries, instability, or exhaustion? Like the pillars of a sacred temple, the bones, joints, and nerves comprise the foundation of the body, mind and spirit. The hatha yoga and Ayurvedic traditions articulate systematic practices for healing and strengthening this ground of our being in a simple and accessible manner. Integrating both Eastern and Western anatomical models, we’ll explore the profound interrelationships between the bones, joints, and nervous system and apply the tools of Ayurveda and hatha yoga in a mindful, non-competitive and non-violent way to bring together the balance between willfulness and sensitivity.

Richmond Dickson has been practicing, studying, and teaching yoga since 2002. He studied the physical and energetic forms of the body while training in myofascial and musculo-skeletal anatomy, and hands-on therapeutics at the CORE Institute School of Massage Therapy and Bodywork. Richmond went on to head the Department of Sciences at the CORE Institute, where he oversaw the curriculum for the Musculo-Skeletal Anatomy and Kinesiology Program.

  • Sunday 12:30-5pm: The Issues Are In The Tissues (Ayurvedic Wisdom in Western Anatomical Science) ($45 by 5/6, $55 after*)

Ayurvedic Medicine explains that the body consists of seven major tissues including: blood, lymph, muscle, fat, bone, marrow/nerve, and reproductive tissues. When in balance these tissues nourish each other in a harmonious trickle down processes that results in vibrant health and longevity. However, when out of balance, they become divisive and often work against one another in pursuit of self-service at the cost of the host organism – THAT MEANS YOU! Join Richmond Dickson in this informative practice and lecture on the correlations between the eastern and western views of the physical and energetic bodies, and how both perspectives are useful, if not necessary, for the yoga practitioner and/or teacher of today.

esSCENTial Flow Yoga Workshop & Essential Oils Class with Nikki

Sunday, May 21st 12:30-3pm at DY Northern Liberties

Nicki 12-9-14-209

Aromatherapy Yoga is a unique union combining yogic practices and essential oils. When the mind experiences anxiety, depression, fear or any other emotion the body responds physiologically. Holistic practices particularly yoga and aromatherapy promote healing by encouraging and assisting the person, to utilizing practices that support, stimulate, cultivate and nurture the individual’s natural state of balance and wellness. esSCENTial Flow is a class created to facilitate emotional release. Breath work, movement, meditation and essential oils are weaved together by their shared intention to facilitate flow!

After our yoga practice Nikki will share the basics of dōTERRA essential oils: what they are, where they come from and how to use them for all of life’s daily issues.

Screen Shot 2016-10-26 at 10.21.43 PM Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds found in the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers, and other parts of plants. They can be both beautifully and powerfully fragrant. If you have ever enjoyed the gift of a rose, a walk by a field of lavender, or the smell of fresh cut mint, you have experienced the aromatic qualities of essential oils. In addition to giving plants their distinctive smells, essential oils provide plants with protection against predators and disease and play a role in plant pollination.

Using essential oils can be both profoundly simple and life changing at the same time. Essential oils are very clean, almost crisp, to the touch and are immediately absorbed by the skin. Pure, unadulterated essential oils are translucent and range in color from crystal clear to deep blue. Please join us to discover ways to reinvent your health care with safe, effective and inexpensive natural solutions. We will be sharing ways to improve not only your physical health but your mental and spiritual well-being also. We are offering natural options to care for yourself, your family and your home with essential oils.

fee $20 for both, $5 to drop into the essential oils class – you can tender payment in person, by calling 215-222-9642 (YOGA) or creating an account in our software at

Meditation is the most natural way to create more of what matters most to you in life. This two-day Meditation Training allows you to establish (or deepen) a meditation practice which will lead to a more meaningful, satisfying, and joyful life. Rooted in the wisdom of ancient Vedic tradition, Primordial Sound Meditation is an authentic methodology that was revitalized by Deepak Chopra. According to tradition, as you journey from activity to silence you open new possibilities for physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

During this program we will explore the scientific research supporting the effectiveness of meditation. You will receive expert guidance on the practical aspects of meditation – including how to sit, when to meditate, how long to meditate, how to overcome obstacles and other experiences during meditation. You are also invited to participate in a very special one-to-one personal instruction ceremony, in which you will be given a personal mantra based on the exact time, date, and location of your birth. This mantra is the sound that the universe was making the moment you were born. Primordial Sound Meditation tradition says that your personal mantra is the vehicle that will take you from activity to inner silence.

Whether it is your first time trying meditation, or if you have a regular practice, you will create a new experience around meditation that will transform your everyday life.
